SENAIDA (pronounced “Shuh-nay-duh”) is a multidisciplinary artist, DJ, sound architect, creative entrepreneur and futurist based in Brooklyn. Through her work as a conscious artist and thought leader, she explores the intersection between art, emerging technologies and spirituality. At the age of 18, SENAIDA founded her first brain-computer interface-driven music venture, MiSynth. Her work focuses on creating multi-sensory, immersive experiences through experimental audio and visuals. Her influences include Bjork, Imogen Heap, David Byrne, SOPHIE & Lorraine James. In 2022, she released her first NFT/sonic collection, THE NOTHING IN BETWEEN, which sold out in under 48 hours.

As a DJ and curator, SENAIDA focuses on creating a moment that connects time, people, place and culture together into a one-of-a-kind experience. She co-hosts "Classy & Sassy" on WNYU 89.1 FM, and has performed at New York Fashion Week, Refuge Worldwide (Berlin), Loveless Cafe (Toronto), Virgo (NYC), Chaos Computer (NYC), The Sultan Room (NYC) and a number of underground clubs and warehouses. She also hosts a monthly art share/art fair party called “WE ARE THE FUTURE!” SENAIDA is a resident DJ at XPizza (NYC) where she hosts a monthly WE ARE THE FUTURE! Radio featuring local talent. Her European-inspired sound blends techno, IDM, breakbeat, ambient, house, avant-garde and experimental music.

Classically-trained in piano since the age of four, she is a two-time national finalist of the Canadian Music Competition and made her Carnegie Hall debut at the age of fifteen. In 2019, after finding a lack of performance opportunities for youth in the Greater Toronto Area, she founded the Youth Showcase Concert Series in Downtown Markham, an annual summer music festival that promotes local artists and bands under the age of 25. During her middle school and high school years, Senaida attended Havergal College in Toronto, Canada. There, she received the Ancerl Prize for Leadership in Music, was co-head of the senior choir in her final year, and wrote an original score for the school’s production of Jane Austen’s Sense & Sensibility. She also studied classical piano at the Royal Conservatory’s prestigious Phil and Eli Taylor Performance Academy for Young Artists and jazz piano at Humber College Community Music School. Her previous musical instructors include Joe Johnson, Michael Berkovsky, Li Wang, Brian Rudolf, Lorne Lofsky and Spiro Kizas. In 2018, she graduated from the Royal Conservatory of Music with her ARCT Piano Performance Diploma. She was the principal pianist for the Toronto Youth Wind Orchestra from 2018 to 2020. Since then, she has performed in major cities including Toronto, New York, Berlin, Ottawa, and Montreal. At the same time, she began producing and songwriting leading to the release of 2 EPs: First Love (2020) and last night was the last night of my past life (2021).

She currently attends New York University’s Clive Davis Institute for Recorded Music at the Tisch School for the Arts, where she is minoring in Interactive Media Arts. Her artwork focuses on creating immersive experiences through sound and technology, while pursuing a practice of collaboration, equality, environmental activism, peace and transcendence.
